The editor of the anthology, Hanna Cieplińska, who also hosted the seminar, was very well received. The American scholars and students, who were present at the seminar, appreciated the fact that such an anthology, devoted to African American female poets, was published in Poland and hoped that a similar book would be also available in the United States.
