The forum was co-organized by the recently established Polish Institute in Belgrade and the Centre for Cultural Decontamination.
As it was put by Krzysztof Czyżewski in his comment on the forum, its participants agreed that despite the fact that the results of the recent election in Serbia are not promising, there seems to be the revival of cooperation in culture. Another conclusion is that the ideas for the new Central Europe are needed by both Ukraine and Europe itself.
It is also noteworthy that the Polish Institute and the Centre for Cultural Decontamination have founded the Borka Pavicevic Award which will be devoted to the people of culture who manage to be courageous and show solidarity under the circumstances of deep divisions and cowardly conformities. The first Borka Pavicevic award will be given next year to commemorate the fifth anniversary of her death
Borka Pavicevic was a Serbian dramaturge, newspaper columnist and an activist. She co-founded the Centre for Cultural Decontamination and the Belgrade Circle. For her achievements she received several international rewards, including the Legion of Honour from the government of France. She died in 2019.
