The stay lasted between 6 and 9 September. It began with Krzysztof Czyżewski’s lecture “CUlture and War” which was given for the students of Lviv’s Catholic University
Next day was the day of Cafe Europa – a meeting of ten Ukrainian writers out of forty who contributed their books for the Borderland Ukrainian series Facing the War. Poems written after the RUssian invasion were read by their authors till very late hours.
On 8 September Krzysztof Czyżewski and Iryna Mularchuk presented the bilingual books published by the Borderland to the students of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
An important element of the stay was also Krzysztof Czyżewski’s participation in the Congress of Culture that was taking place at the Lviv Polytechnic National University. The congress was organized by the Institute of Cultural Strategy. Krzysztof Czyżewski contributed to the panel ‘’Translating the Experience of War” which was hosted by Ostap Slyvynsky. Two other contributors were Robert Campbell and Diana Vonnak.
