Oleksandr Irvanets was born in Lviv on January 24, 1961. So far he has published more than 30 books which include poetry, fiction, essays and plays. He has been translate into several languages (Polish, German, Italian, Slovenian, Serbian and Belarusian). His plays have been staged in Germany, the USA, Croatia, Slovenia and Kazakhstan.

Oleksandr Irvanets is a translator himself. He translates from Polish, RUssian and Belarusian. As for Polish poetry, he has translated Wisława Szymborska, Czesław Milosz, Adam Zagajewski.

In Krasnogruda he was working on the Ukrainian translation of the essays by Janusz Głowacki.
His stay in the manor was a month long and started on April, 10.
