During his stay in Sejny and Krasnogruda he contributed to the sound guide on which the Music of the Place studio is working and gave a concert at the White Synagogue.
Tomasz Mirt is a designer, producer, composer and field recorder. His music is the patchwork of different styles: it is electronic, avant-garde; at times it is close to club music; it also includes the elements of field recording. The result of this blending is the improvised collage which is a bit like soundtrack music with some repetitiveness. Tomasz feels close to the concept of fourth world music.
He has been working on his own and with other musicians. His records have been released by such labels as cat|sun replaced by Oddities of Nature and for Saamleng.
Tomasz Mirt has performed live both in Poland and abroad at several festivals. He is one of the founders of Xaoc Devices which produces modular synthesizers and one of the co-editors of two magazines, Zine and M|I. To find out more about Tomasz Mirt see below:
