The first solo recording by Iwona Sobotka was issued in May 2004, includes a selection of songs by Karol Szymanowski. Her second recording includes the series by Szymanowski "Songs of the Princess from a Fairy Tale " recorded with City of Birmingham Orchestra, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle’ a.
Iwona Sobotka performed in such prestigious concert halls, as Carnegie Hall in New York, Konzerthaus in Vien, Palais de Beaux Arts in Brussels, Tokyo Opera City Hall, Suntory Hall in Tokio, Auditorio Nacional, Teatro Real in Madrid and Palau de la Musicain in Barcelona. Recently debuted at the Paris National Opera as Ygraine in "Ariane et Barbe-Bleue "by Paul Dukas, under the guidance of Sylvain Cambreling.
She is a laureate of many international and national awards. She received her first prize at international auditions “East and West Artists International Auditions” in New York. She won the Grand Prix Award, as well as several special prizes at the competition by I. J. Paderewski in Bydgoszcz (2003) and the first prize at the Polish Art Song Competition (2001).
