She graduated from Polish philology at the University of Warsaw and theater studies at the The Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.
In the years 1981-84, she was a member of the avant-garde theater group "Gardzienice".
In the years 1984-89, one of the creators of the "Arka" theater in Poznań, at the same time she participated in cyclical cultural meetings in Czarna Dąbrówka entitled "Artistic Village".
In June 1989, one of the founders of the "Borderland - arts, cultures, nations" Center in Sejny - a modern cultural center dealing with issues multicultural regions of Central and Eastern Europe.
An employee of the Center since 1990. He is a co-creator of projects run by "Borderland", including: such as: Central European Cultural Forum, Open Regions of Central and Eastern Europe (Transylvania, Bosnia, Bukowina, Spisz), School of the Borderland, Man of the Borderland, Camera Pro Minoritate, Cafe Europe.
She runs educational and cultural programs "Lektorium Sejneńskie", "Trakt Krasnogrudzki", dedicated to learning about the multicultural heritage of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the multiethnic regions of Central-Eastern Europe. Co-creator of the performances "The Dybbuk", "Wijuny" and "Issa Valley" prepared by youth theater group "Teatr Sejneński".
From 2007 to April 2011, she led the investment project International Centre for Dialogue in Krasnogruda – revitalization of the historic manor complex. Since the opening of the International Centre for Dialogue, she has been implementing the center's concepts such as intercultural practices aimed at cooperation with eastern neighbors (Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine,Russia, Moldova and Georgia). She manages a team that implements cross-border cultural projects, including: “Atlantis of the north - cultural patches. Poland Lithuania Russia”. She is the Director of the Borderland Foundation and a Member of the Board of the Borderland Foundation.
