Living Heritage - Dziedzictwo żywe - wnioski z innowacyjnych projektów na rzecz rozwoju lokalnej kultury i społeczności w Europie Południowo-Wschodniej

Program Dziedzictwo żywe to program grantodawczy, finansujący projekty i działalność organizacji. Jego celem jest wspieranie rozwoju lokalnych społeczności w krajach Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej poprzez inicjowanie zakładających trwałe rezultaty projektów ze sfery kultury i dziedzictwa kulturowego. Program prowadzony przez belgijską King Baudouin Foundation, we współpracy z siecią fundacji George'a Sorosa w Bośni i Hercegowinie, Bułgarii, Rumunii i Macedonii, rozpoczął działalność w 2001 roku. W jego ramach wsparto ponad 140 lokalnych projektów i przedsięwzięć kulturalnych w tych krajach.
Program opierał się na innowacyjnym rozumieniu dziedzictwa kulturowego i jego roli dla lokalnej społeczności. Wykraczając poza tradycyjną klasyfikację dziedzictwa kulturowego, pojmuje się je w programie jako zasób - rodzaj kapitału społecznego, który może wpływać na środowisko i na jakość życia mieszkańców. Dlatego założeniem programu była zrozumienie lokalnej sytuacji jako całości i zaangażowanie jak najwięcej lokalnych "aktorów" w rozwój prowadzonego w danej miejscowości projektu.
Konferencja w Skopje zorganizowana została z inicjatywy sieci Living Heritage. Będzie okazją do ocenienia rezultatów programu; stworzy dobrą podstawę dla wymiany doświadczeń oraz "know-how" (w skali regionu jak i poszczególnych krajów) pomiędzy ekspertami, naukowcami, decydentami i grantodawcami zaangażowanymi w działania na rzecz kultury i rozwoju lokalnego. Podczas spotkania zaprezentowana będzie również wystawa, materiał video i publikacja, powstałe dzięki wsparciu programu Komisji Europejskiej Kultura 2000.
